Another Rant: Out of bounds

Posted: June 23, 2012 in Random

Okay, I need to speak up. Not because I wanted to, but because I have to. I don’t care kung mababasa mo ‘to o hindi. But I had to point out what I believe is true and make you realize that you are not always right.

So here it is. I was reading this book, Fifty Shades of Grey and clearly expressed how kilig I am while reading the first volume. Apparently, this someone asked kung anong book. I immediately said The Fifty Shades w/ a smile. And then she commented: “wow ha porn yan ah” – these exact words. I was shocked kasi sobrang judgemental lang. But then I replied in a nice way: “Hindi naman overall kung babasahin mo talaga siya.” which is true.

First, I honestly, I felt bad after seeing the word “porn” and how she actually put a negative emotion to her words. Parang sobrang disgusted siya with what I am reading. First and foremost, I believe na hindi talaga porn ang Fifty Shades. You could even ask those who have read and actually reading it. Yes, detailed ang sex sa book one but if you actually read the book, there’s a story in it. Pag sinabing erotica, porn na? Malaswa na? Educate me if I’m wrong. But I could classify it as a matured love story only read by matured people. So, I therefore conclude, hindi ka matured.¬†

Second, I deleted the comment. Actually, I was planning to hide the post merely because ang pangit tingnan sa profile ko na may word na “porn”. I don’t wanna look guilty, but who wants to see that? My concern is my little cousin and uncle who’s frequently checking my profile who is also curious about what I’m reading. Bottom line is, I don’t want to be judged, like you did.

Lucky, some of my friends somehow helped me and defended me (thanks to them). But then you blurted your shit out through Twitter. Kala mo di ko malalaman no? I don’t wanna say things more, but I can’t help it. I had to blog it out and kontrahin ka.

There are people who just rant about things w/o realizing what they were actually saying. For the sake of “MAY MASABI LANG.”

Do further research first, PLEASE, before you judge. ūüôā

And oh, read the book first before you attack me. Just so you’ll know.¬†I won’t let you ruin my night.¬†KTHXBYE.

So how was it after reading the book?

Hmm, 50-50. I like it but not much, just yet. I don’t know. I still have to read two more volumes before I can really say that I like it a lot.

What I love about the book are only the first few chapters because it only makes you fall in love with Christian Grey. Oh yes, you’ll definitely fall for him and wish you could have someone like him.¬†And the emails, the small and big efforts, the cute¬†arguments¬†– I actually loved it! I even find myself giggle every time I read them. But honestly, I hate when the story focused more on the “sex parts” and the dom-sub acts rather than the sweet ones. I was like, “SRSLY? AGAIN?”¬†Nakakasawa.¬†It only made me feel like the story lost its essence. I could have appreciated it more if it focused on the showing Mr. Grey’s dominant side but with a little touch of sweetness and¬†gentlemanly efforts¬†without much of sex. And more emails, please!¬†(Just my opinion.)

Though must admit, it’s bitin.¬†Part one is so vague¬†and I didn’t appreciate the ending. But I knew it triggered me to read the other two just to make things clear and put an ending to their story.

And yes, I might agree that this book could be overrated. But we’ll see after the two volumes.

That’s all I can say, for now. I think I’m giving in to my curiosity. I’m off to read Fifty Shades Darker and then maybe, every thing will make sense.

PS: I hope the second book is better than the first. (c)

Grabe, ang bagal ko. Hirap magbasa ng novel using¬†ebook. If I wasn’t falling in love with Grey’s character and got so curious of how dominant and submissive the story is,¬†hindi ko to para pagtyagaang basahin¬†using a laptop. Indeed, it’s very addicting.

I wanna finish it tonight or maybe until tomorrow afternoon but I don’t think I can make it. No matter how much I want to continue, I feel so dizzy right now. Damn, I gotta have the trilogy.

Time to rest my eyes. I’ll be back tonight. Ciao.

Did you ever wake up one day wishing you were a different person, with a different life and having a different dream? Well, I often experience this and I wanna share it to you.

A lot may have heard this many times but I have lots of dreams. Particularly, the career path I want to take for my future. If only I am born genius, with money and living in fame, I would definitely wanna be like this:

Bucket List: June Edition

Every month, I shall be posting all the things I want to do/need to accomplish by the end of each month. I will be crossing all the things that I have done consistently for monitoring. This is to remind/motivate myself to be productive especially now that I still have nothing to do with my life, just yet.

I know it’s too late. But, better late than never, right?

So, I was thinking…

  • I will jog tomorrow and every morning.
  • DIEt. Let’s start with 2 rice meals a day, still one rice. (I could eat 2 cups of rice every meal! That’s already a sacrifice! — Defensive?)
  • Sleep not later than 10 pm, max!
  • Review college notes.
  • Increase vocabulary. 10-20 words a day.
  • Take sample exams.
  • Acquire new computer skill.
  • Kill time at a coffee shop and review.
  • Re-read The Cobra Event for better understanding.
  • Read another book.
  • Cook a dish I’ve never done before.
  • Bake a cake/cupcake.
  • Learn to play an instrument.

That would be all for now. I hope I could cross out something there by the end of the month.

Will update this from time to time. I’ll keep you guys posted!

lol. Sana mapanindigan ko to. Aja! (c)

Human Lasallian Star

Posted: June 18, 2012 in Random

For the third time in a row, I was present at the Human LaSallian Star formation held yesterday (June 17, 2012) at De La Salle University – Dasmarinas.

I’m just so proud to be a LaSallian for 12 years. I am a LaSallian, by blood and by heart. Nothing could ever take that. ¬†Bigla akong nanghinayang dun sa four years kong wala sa La Salle. Loyalty awardee na sana! LOL

Anyway, everyone enjoyed the event and the after party, for sure. Too bad I wasn’t able to take photos ‘cos I left my cam at home. Poorita me. ūüė¶

Fellow LaSallians, we did it! We broke the record! Congratulations to all of us! ANIMO! ūüôā

One La Salle!

Live, Jesus, in our hearts. FOREVER.

Father’s Day

Posted: June 16, 2012 in Random

Thinking about Father’s day is just tearing me apart. I wish I could celebrate it w/ pop like every other kids. I just hope I could survive tomorrow or at least not feel envious of anyone seeing them with their dad. It just really breaks my heart thinking that I wouldn’t be with my father tomorrow.

If only I could turn back time, I would. All the time.
